I’ve been a fan of the spice girls since I was 12 and,although I love them, I can’t deny that they’re doing all this for money. The 2007 reunion itself (I saw the SG in Cologne) was done for money, otherwise they would have continued to write songs and perform them. The musical is a genial way to make money without concentrating and spending some time on their real (ex)job, which is singing. Whenever they are broke, they come up with a new project to get some money back. It’s very hard and sad to me to admit it, but it’s the truth. My dream is to see them perform LIVE, they’re not demonstrating love towards their fans, but only a strong will to take some money away from them.
ok… musical + spice girls = 1 diehard musical buff/SG fan hoping she’ll get rich enough to fly over when it opens. I hope it’s a big success so that it can come to Broadway!!

I’ve read in an article that the musical will be a story based on your Girls’ music, and a story about friendship – that I can totally support! My only fear as a fan was that you would cast actresses to PLAY you five, and we all know that would be horrible. I can’t wait to get my passport and see the musical when it opens!
I agree, I’d rather have Spice Girls back doing music instead of an musical or either the musical can happen but I’d be even more happier if you girls were back on the scene as well for another couple years with tours, new DVD esp and least one new amazin album.

Quite disappointed =( I’m not much interested in hearing/watching some other actors performing covers of your songs. I honestly would have preferred a new reunion, maybe smaller than the last one, a new song/a couple of concerts… the fans really need to see YOU FOUR perform on a stage, not to know that you’re somehow contributing to a show they won’t see you in. I still hope you projects for the future as a group are not just this musical thing. Sorry for being too honest
C’mon Mel we need the SPICE GIRLS!!! Not “wannabes”…Been a fan since 96 and I love you all but you guys can do better then this!
