SUPERSTAR MEL B SIGNS GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP WITH EMI MUSIC AUSTRALIA
Mel B needs no introduction. It’s already written in the history books. She not only is part of music history but is also a pop culture icon. She is an artist who has achieved the kind of success most artists can only ever dream of. The statistics speak for themselves… over 80 million album sales, countless No.1 singles & albums around the world – as part of Spice Girls and as a successful solo artist.
EMI Music Australia is extremely proud and excited to announce Mel B is returning back home and ready to join contemporaries such as Katy Perry, Coldplay, David Guetta, Ricki-Lee, Empire Of The Sun and 360 with an exclusive global partnership with the label she originally signed with back in 1994.
Currently recording new material to be released in late 2012, Mel B had this to share about the signing, “I’m overly excited to finally announce this amazing global partnership deal back home with EMI Music. I know I have mentioned doing music in the past but for legal reasons I was not in a position to release any new music. For my fans, I am happy and proud to say my music WILL be heard this year and that is for sure a promise I’m over the moon to say the least. Love me or hate me, scary spice is back, hahahaha!!!”
After Spice Girls recorded their last album ‘Forever’ in 2000, Mel began her solo career in fine style with a massive worldwide hit ‘I Want You Back’ feat. Missy Elliot’ hitting the top spot in the UK and Gold in Australia. Mel went on to sell over half a million albums with Hot (2000) and L.A.State Of Mind (2005) and achieved five Top 20 UK singles. The Spice Girls Greatest Hits peaked at No.1 in Australia in 2007.
Mel’s original and real passion is, and always will be music. She’s making an album that’s going to bookmark another incredible chapter in the career of Mel B.

Go Mel, this is your time…hope ur music will be more similar to R&B/Hip Hop sound (i.e. Feel so good, Hotter, Sophisticated Lady, I want you back) but also tracks like In Too Deep, L.A. State of Mind, If I Had My Life Again, Sweet Pleasure and Bad Bad Girl was good.

I am not sure what happened to that situation, but I would like the chance to write for you again and make it count this time!
